Eligibility is never decided in the browser. Each selection is re-checked on the server, so a squad that saves is a squad that's legal.

Seven checks, in a fixed order, every time:

Reasons, not red crosses
A blocked player shows exactly why, in plain words, with the rule it comes from. Warnings are one line, not ten.
Advice on the shortfall
Where you're short, candidates are scored and explained with up to three reason tags. The coach always makes the call.
Save once, everywhere
A save sends only what changed, so two coaches can work at once. Player view, calendar feeds and other coaches pick it up.

Coaches in a multi-team club pick from the same players. Eddy shows the knock-on effects first.
- Same-day games show as one warning naming every other team a player is available for.
- Play-up counts are coloured on the squad page as a player nears the limit. Games in goal don't count.
- Derby safe: when two of your teams meet, each side keeps its own squad and its own kit colour.
- Team availability puts every fixture's numbers in one grid, so you know which teams still need players.

Calendar feeds
Players subscribe to their fixtures, events and umpiring duties. Coaches subscribe to their team's fixtures, with the squad.
Notify the squad
Messages open in WhatsApp on the coach's own phone; Eddy sends nothing itself. A dot shows if the squad changed since.
Secure by design
Every write is checked on the server. People see what their role needs. Sign-in is a code by email, behind a bot check.
Admin in the app
Officers run membership, kit, events and registration from their own screens. Changes to people and fixtures go in the history.
